Joan is the Human Resource (HR) Staffing and Services Manager, overseeing the onsite HR professionals who work for a client at their location or “virtually.” She is good at recruiting and retaining top notch candidates for her team and finding the perfect skill set match.
Joan is deeply involved in the reference and background checking aspect of the employment relationship as a part of the overall selection process, which her group also administers for clients. Joan handles exit interviewing and, like reference checks, she’s able to gain additional, in depth information as an independent third party. She also manages the Career Transition Services team which enables displaced employees to transition to their next endeavor.
Prior to joining Trusight, Joan was an HR Manager at Maico Hearing Instruments, where she was instrumental in resolving employee relations issues, sourcing and recruiting staff, and, as the sole HR individual for the organization, administering the overall HR function. Joan was also the Regional HR Manager for Emperion, combining hands on work at the regional level with strategic vision and leadership at the corporate level.
Fun fact about Joan: She is a certified Yoga Instructor, teaching once a week. Just ask to see her “Tree Pose” and she’ll happily kick off her shoes and demonstrate!
