Energetic, articulate, and friendly is how people describe Heidi. As a Learning and Development leader at MRA, she is passionate about helping organizations deliver on their business strategies in very competitive, fast-paced, and challenging markets. Heidi helps our members identify how their current performance gaps impact operations in the short, and the long run. And how MRA training can help move their teams forward, equipped for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
Heidi has excelled in line and corporate positions in Health Care, Telecom, Office Equipment, Clean Room, SaaS (Software as a Service), High-Tech, and Light Industrial Manufacturing, both as a leader and an individual contributor. Her wide range of expertise includes commission sales, staff supervision, call center operations, line of business start-ups, forecasting, and budgeting. So she keenly understands that training initiatives must provide immediate payback and relevance to engage time-pressed learners….or collect dust on the shelves.

Key Accomplishments
Heidi holds a BA and an MA in Spanish from the Universities of Texas and Illinois, and still maintains her Minnesota State Teacher’s license. In addition to her private language clients, Heidi is active with Berlitz International, as an adjunct English Instructor, coaching clients on language, social and business communications. She also works with non-English-speaking immigrant workforces, training them on the occupational English they need to learn, to perform at work, and to acclimate to the American culture.

Professional and Community Activities

  • Volunteer events coordinator for Children’s Surgery International, specialists in cleft lip and palate reconstructions in underdeveloped nations.
  • Volunteer for the National Park Service, assigned to a lighthouse on an island in Lake Superior. She jokes that the pay is lousy, but the views are worth it.
