Rosie Huntington-Whiteley world’s hottest woman

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has really gotten huge lately, (And of course, we are not talking about her Victoria’s Secret body!) . The twenty-four year old model can now add actress to her ever expanding resume. The stunning English model (you might know her from her stint as a Victoria’s Secret angel) is now the new face (and figure) of Burberry Body. She also joined the cast of the Transformers trilogy hen she was asked to appear as a main character in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley began modeling lingerie for Victoria’s Secret in 2006, but for two years remained unknown in the fashion industry; that is until Burberry discovered her in 2008 and decided to use her to replace Agyness Deyn for their 2008 Fall/Winter campaign. Shortly after appearing in Burberry’s campaign, she was on her first British Vogue cover, which was featuring upcoming British models. In 2009, her star power blew up even more when she got a whole slew of huge campaigns, such as: the Karen Millen Spring/Summer campaign, Gidiva chocolate campaign, and Miss Sixty. 2009 is also the year she won the prestigious Elle “Model of the Year” award, and officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. 2009 was a very busy year for Miss Huntington-Whiteley.

2010 and 2011 were no different for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She began 2010 by being photographed nude by the famous Terry Richardson, for the Pirelli Calendar. Shortly afterwards, Rosie hit the runway for Prada and Giles Deacon. In mid-2010 she collaborated with Vogue.com to start a “Today I’m Wearing” feature. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley could not be stopped! At the close of 2010, fashion photographer Rankin even made a whole book devoted to Rosie entitled “Ten Times Rosie;” stating that she put diversity back into fashion. For the last ten years, runways and magazines had been filled with super emaciated, androgynous models. Huntington-Whiteley was a nice, fresh change, with her curves and her perfect, girly face.

Just when people thought Rosie Huntington-Whiteley couldn’t take her career any further, she decided to add the big screen to her ever expanding resume. In 2010 she was recruited to join the cast of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, playing a new character, Carly Spencer. There were definitely doubters of her ability, and devout Megan Fox fans who didn’t want to see another pretty face join the cast; but upon it’s release all of the nay-sayers quickly shut up. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was amazing in the movie. She was beautiful, confident, and a natural at acting. The film was box office gold and it is assumed that there will be more acting in Rosie’s future.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has dated a few LUCKY men on and off, but since April 2010 she has been with action star Jason Statham. The pair are fairly low key and enjoy spending quality time together both in New York and in London (where Rosie has homes). As of July 2011, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley ranked number 15 on “The Money Girls” list and was number 3 in the “20 Top Sexiest Models” list. Also she was ranked number 1 on Maxim’s “Hot 100″ list, and also FHM voted her “The World’s Sexiest Woman”. Quite a slew of honors for such a young lady! There is no doubt that Rose will continue to grow and flourish. We can only look on to find out what she will do and where she will go next!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Box Office Update

Paramount Pictures’ Transformers: Dark of the Moon continued dominating the box office on Thursday and Friday, earning $21.5 million and $32.9 million for the two days domestically. That means the Michael Bay film earned $97.6 million in the Tuesday night through Friday frame. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had earned $127.9 million in the same amount of time (that movie did not have Tuesday night previews).

Dark of the Moon is on track to reach $180 million in its seven-day domestic debut and could reach $350 million worldwide. The film has made 60% of its domestic gross from 3D screenings and has received an ‘A’ CinemaScore from audiences.

The movie, starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk and John Turturro, had earned $66 million internationally through Thursday.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Interview

Transformers: Dark of the Moon interview is below!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: One of the Boys

“You had to leave all sense of girliness at the door. I’m a bit of a tomboy anyway. It’s an all-male cast apart from Frances McDormand, who worked on the movie for a few weeks. It was me and the lads,” she says. (The “lads” include a stable of hunks: Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey and Tyrese Gibson).

Transformers Stars Talk Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Vs. Megan Fox

This is what Transformers: Dark of the Moon star Tyrese Gibson had to say on the “Rosie vs Megan” debate.

“Rosie is going to surprise a lot of people. I have to go on record and say that she did not replace Megan Fox. She’s a brand-new character; her name is Carly in the movie. Her name is not Mikaela, it’s Carly. She’s going to surprise a lot of people with her focus and energy that she’s bringing to the franchise.

“She was very focused, very classy, very easy to work with,” he continued. “I was really glad she came aboard.”

Shia had this to say:

“She completely owns her sexuality, which I think helps especially on a movie like this where it’s a blanket summer movie and there are certain requirements of a woman in a summer movie,” LaBeouf explained. “She owns her sexuality and she doesn’t shy from it. I think it was a harder gap to cross, in terms of Megan going from complete obscurity to being the sexiest woman in the world in a movie. [It] is a greater leap and transition than to go from being a Victoria’s Secret model to then being the hottest actress in the world,” he added. “It’s an easier transition because she already had that in her pocket when she came to set. She was able to be strong in her femininity as opposed to trying to shy away from it.

“[That attitude] helps everything,” he continued. “Especially with Mike [Bay] where conversations are blunt and they lack tact, and you’re in the middle of a firefight so it’s bare essentials.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Thought She Bombed Transformers Audition

One of the many intriguing stories to emerge from the production and release of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is the casting of new leading lady and first-time actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. In addition to making headlines for replacing Megan Fox as the new “Transformers” “It” girl, the fact that Whiteley comes to Hollywood from the equally glamorous world of modeling has only added to her appeal.

The Victoria’s Secret model’s acting abilities have already been touted and praised by her co-stars, Shia LaBeouf and Tyrese Gibson, but when MTV News caught up with the newbie, we asked her about the intensity of the audition process.

“I went to the audition and really I knew nothing about the role,” Whiteley said. “No one had said anything; it was just a role in ‘Transformers,’ so I kind of thought it would be an extra part or a cameo or something. I went in a bit blind and also, it was my first-ever audition. I went in completely not knowing what I was doing. I left feeling not confident.”

Whiteley didn’t have long to wallow in her uncertainty, because a couple days after that audition, director Michael Bay phoned her directly. “He was like, ‘Yeah, you’re the girl,’ ” she recalled.

Before landing the big-screen role, Whiteley had dabbled in some amateur acting via school plays and a short film for lingerie company Agent Provocateur, but “Dark of the Moon” was definitely her first real gig.

So has she been bitten by the acting bug?

“Yeah, I’ve been so lucky because doing this film, I got to try a little bit of everything,” she said. “There’s something for everyone in it: There’s the romance, the comedy, the drama, the action, there’s the special effects.”

But as to whether we’ll see her back on the big screen soon, Whiteley wasn’t so sure. “I’m really hoping to do another movie,” she said. “I’m working toward that, although I very much hope to stay in the fashion industry; it’s my first love. We’ll see what happens. I’ve got no idea.”
