Rosie has modelled for Victoria’s Secret, the American lingerie brand, since 2006.
In 2008, Burberry put Rosie’s career on the map by casting her in an advertising campaign with actor Sam Riley. In November of the same year, Rosie appeared on the cover of British Vogue for the first time. She did not grace the cover alone, however. She was joined by two other young models-of-the-moment, Jourdan Dunn and Eden Clark.
In 2009, Rosie featured in a spring/summer advertising campaign shoot for Karen Millen, the international women’s clothing retailer. At the 2009 Elle Style Awards, Rosie was awarded ‘Model of the Year’. Also in this year, Rosie starred in an agent provocateur underwear commercial which helped her become the sex symbol she is today. In autumn/winter 2009, Rosie modelled for Godiva, the chocolate brand, as well as Miss Sixty. In November 2009, Rosie became an official Victoria’s Secret Angel, after modelling for the label for nearly four years. Rosie is the only current British Angel. Rosie modelled at 2009’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, hosted in New York City at the Lexington Avenue Armory.
Rosie appeared nude in the 2010 Pirelli calendar, shot by Terry Richardson. A casting surprise was promised for the autumn 2010 Prada show, and the casting of Rosie, alongside other Victoria’s Secret regulars, delivered. Rosie also did a runway show for fashion designer Giles Deacon in Paris. In spring/summer 2010, Rosie was the face of high street fashion store Monsoon’s underwear collection. In the same session, Rosie was photographed topless for fashion brand Thomas Wylde and appeared in an advertising campaign for high street label Full Circle. In May 2010, she was on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Russia, as well as that of GQ UK. Rosie graced the September 2010 cover of LOVE Magazine in a pin-up pose. In autumn/winter 2010, Rosie featured in Burberry’s first Beauty (Burberry’s own cosmetic range) campaign, alongside other British models Lily Donaldson and Nina Porter. Also this session, Rosie modelled (fully clothed) for high fashion brand Loewe, stripped down for another Thomas Wylde campaign and was the cover model for a Leon Max shoot. Ten Times Rosie, a photography book focussed on Rosie, was brought out by famous photographer Ian Rankin.
The March 2011 issue of British Vogue saw Rosie’s first solo cover. In July of the same year, Rosie could be found on the covers of both Elle and GQ. Also in this month, Rosie was revealed as the face of Burberry’s new fragrance, Burberry Body.
At the Elle Style Awards 2012, Rosie was named Style Icon.
